The LP3 was designed by Michel Somers for a city apartment in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, located on the Lange Putstraat. It had to be a large table of 3 meters. The starting point for the design was to make a table in recognizable contemporary materials with a clear distinction between the supporting base and the top. The base is composed of two sizes of T-profiles and the top consists of Betacryl.

The table is available in a length ranging from 240 cm to 360 cm. The width is 90 cm. The height is also variable, so that various chairs match the table height well.

The top consists of white or black Betacryl of 12 mm thickness. Betacryl is a material that consists of approximately 2/3 aluminum hydroxide. The aluminum hydroxide gives the product a special strength. The quality of the acrylic resin also guarantees hygiene, it is suitable for contact with food, water resistance and color fastness during its entire lifespan. Despite its consistency, comparable to natural stone, beta-acrylic is recoverable.

The frame consists of four parts that are assembled on site. These can be supplied in five powder coated colors with a very fine ‘sand structure’.
